Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has relieved the state Commissioner for Power of his appointment.
The decision was announced on Monday in a statement issued by the governor’s Special Assistant on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu.
Wike directed the dismissed commissioner to hand over all government documents and property in his possession to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Power.
The statement did not provide a reason for the commissioner’s removal.
