GOtv Brings Madrid Derby to Nigerian Viewers

Nigerian football fans will be able to watch the 164th Madrid derby between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid live on GOtv.

The La Liga rivals will meet at Atletico’s Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in their second encounter of the season.

Their first meeting at Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu earlier in the campaign ended in a goalless draw.

Only two points separated the clubs going into the derby, with Atletico Madrid occupying second place in the La Liga table with 44 points and Real Madrid sitting third with 42 points.

Victory for Real would see them move above their city rivals and strengthen their challenge at the top of the table.

The match will be broadcast live on SuperSport Select 4 and will be available to GOtv MAX subscribers.

Real Madrid head into the encounter in encouraging form, with striker Karim Benzema producing impressive performances in attack.

Brazilian youngster Vinicius Junior has also emerged as an important player for Santiago Solari’s side.

Real had won five consecutive matches in all competitions before being held to a 1-1 draw by Barcelona in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final.

Atletico, meanwhile, will be hoping to recover after losing ground in the title race following a series of draws and a defeat to Real Betis.

With both clubs battling for position near the top of La Liga, the Madrid derby is expected to be another fiercely contested encounter.
