Delta APC Leaders Commend Oyibo for Promoting Party Unity and Growth

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State have commended Roland Oyibo for what they described as his efforts to promote unity and strengthen the party.

Chairman of the APC in Ughelli North, Obakpororo Onoabedje, gave the commendation at Agbarha-Otor during a gathering hosted by Oyibo for party stakeholders, ward and local government executives, as well as residents of Ughelli North Constituency I.

The event followed Oyibo’s appointment as an aide to the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.

Onoabedje said Oyibo’s appointment had attracted positive reactions from party members across Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal Constituency, as well as other parts of Delta Central Senatorial District.

He urged other aides of the Deputy Senate President and party stakeholders to emulate Oyibo by using their positions to strengthen internal cohesion and promote the growth of the APC.

Onoabedje also praised Oyibo’s efforts to reconcile former members who had left the party, citing the return of former Ughelli North APC chairman, Felix Ekure, as one of the outcomes of the reconciliation drive.

Another party stalwart, Emmanuel Ogobene, also commended Oyibo for his commitment to unity within the party.

Speaking at the event, Oyibo said the gathering was organised to appreciate Omo-Agege for appointing him as an aide and to discuss ways of strengthening the APC in Ughelli North and Delta State generally.

He called on members to put aside differences and work together for the progress of the party.

“It is time to unite ourselves as a party and family by working for the growth of the party,” Oyibo said.
