Breaking: Sanwo-Olu transmits final list of commissioners, advisers to assembly
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has forwarded the final list of his cabinet nominees to the Lagos State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
The move came about four weeks after the governor submitted the first batch of nominees to the lawmakers.
The second list contains 13 commissioner- and special adviser-designates.
In a statement, the governor’s Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile, said the nominees include experienced politicians and technocrats who understand the needs of Lagos State and the development priorities of the administration.
Akosile explained that the selection process was rigorous because Sanwo-Olu wanted to assemble a capable team that could effectively implement his government’s programmes and improve service delivery across the state.
According to him, the administration’s broader goal is to position Lagos as a competitive city-state and one of the most liveable urban centres in the world.
The nominees are expected to appear before the Lagos State House of Assembly for screening before assuming their respective roles in the administration.
