Breaking: APC Dissolves National Working Committee
The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dissolved the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).
The decision was taken as part of measures to address the leadership crisis that had engulfed the ruling party.
NEC also appointed Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni as Chairman of the APC Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee.
Buni, a former National Secretary of the APC, was subsequently sworn in to lead the caretaker committee.
The oath of office was administered by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.
The dissolution of the NWC marked a major restructuring of the party’s national leadership amid efforts to restore stability and prepare the APC for a future national convention.
