Osimhen Scores Second Napoli Hat-Trick in 4-0 Victory
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen continued his impressive start to life at Napoli by scoring his second hat-trick in as many pre-season matches as the Italian side defeated Teramo 4-0.
Osimhen, who had also scored three goals in Napoli’s 11-0 victory over L’Aquila, opened the scoring against the Italian third-division side in the fourth minute.
The Nigerian added his second goal in the 61st minute before completing his hat-trick four minutes later.
He was eventually replaced by Fernando Llorente in the 75th minute after another impressive display.
Hirving Lozano scored Napoli’s other goal as the Serie A side comfortably secured victory.
Osimhen joined Napoli from Lille in a deal reportedly worth up to €80 million and has quickly settled into his new surroundings.
The striker’s strong pre-season form provided an encouraging sign ahead of the 2020-21 Serie A campaign.
The match against Teramo was Napoli’s third pre-season fixture as they continued preparations for their league opener against Parma.
