Moses Urges Inter Milan to Brace Up for Derby Clash With AC Milan
Victor Moses has urged his Inter Milan teammates to quickly turn their attention to the Milan derby following their 2-0 Serie A victory over Udinese.
The Nigerian made his league debut for Inter in the victory, featuring for 83 minutes before being substituted.
Moses said the team needed to put the Udinese result behind them and concentrate on the upcoming clash with city rivals AC Milan.
“We need to immediately forget about tonight’s win and concentrate on the match against Milan,” Moses told Inter’s official website.
“It’s a really important fixture and we have the quality to win, both on an individual and team level. It’ll be an important week.”
Moses also admitted that results involving title rivals Juventus and Lazio had increased the pressure on Inter to secure maximum points against Udinese.
“The team did well today. We were expecting a really tough game from the very first minute until the end,” he said.
“We wanted to win, also to respond to Juventus and Lazio’s results, which put us under a bit more pressure.”
Inter were second in the Serie A standings with 51 points from 22 matches, three points behind leaders Juventus and two points ahead of Lazio.
Moses joined Inter from Chelsea and reunited with manager Antonio Conte, under whom he previously enjoyed success at Stamford Bridge.
