Liverpool Legend Praises Wilfred Ndidi After Leicester City Victory

Liverpool legend and Sky Sports pundit Phil Thompson has praised Wilfred Ndidi following Leicester City’s 2-0 Premier League victory over Bournemouth.

Thompson singled out Ndidi and Youri Tielemans for their performances as Leicester controlled the second half of the encounter.

Ndidi, who had recently returned from international duty with Nigeria, played an important role in breaking up Bournemouth’s attacks and protecting Leicester’s defence.

The Nigerian midfielder recorded 11 tackles, five interceptions and five clearances during the match.

Thompson said Leicester’s style under manager Brendan Rodgers became more evident after the break, with the team moving the ball quickly through midfield.

“Youri Tielemans and Wilfred Ndidi ran the game in the second half. It was absolutely fantastic,” Thompson said.

He also praised James Maddison for his influence as Leicester became increasingly dominant.

Ndidi has been one of Leicester’s most consistent players during the season, starting and completing 31 of the club’s first 32 Premier League matches.
