Olamide, Pasuma Thrill Guests as Stars Attend Tayo Sobola’s Mum’s Funeral
Nollywood actress Tayo Sobola was joined by friends, colleagues and other prominent personalities as she laid her mother to rest at a colourful funeral ceremony in Lagos.
The event, held at the 10 Degrees Events Centre in Ikeja, attracted government officials, entertainers and several Nollywood stars.
Among those in attendance were Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat, Saheed Balogun, Iyabo Ojo, Biodun Okeowo, Bolanle Ninalowo, Eniola Badmus, Kehinde Bankole, Eniola Ajao, Jaiye Kuti, Opeyemi Aiyeola, Antar Laniyan and Bobrisky.
The ceremony also featured performances from some of Nigeria’s popular musicians, including Fuji star Pasuma, Olamide, Mega 99 and Qdot, who entertained guests throughout the event.
Guests danced and celebrated the life of Sobola’s late mother as the entertainers took turns on stage.
Speaking about her mother, Sobola described her as an important part of her life and said she would be deeply missed.
“My mother was my god. She was my everything. I will miss her forever,” the actress said.
She also prayed for the peaceful repose of her mother’s soul.
